The purpose of the Historical Commission is to recognize the significance
of locating, naming and preserving historical resources, within the
boundaries of West Nottingham Township, for the enjoyment, education
and inspiration of the people, including future generations.
The Historical Commission shall serve as an advisory and information
gathering body for the purpose of identifying, collecting and preserving the
historical resources of the Township.
Current research has indicated approximately 175 historic sites in West
Nottingham Township. Of those historic sites, nearly 100% have been
researched.
The Historical Commission meets the third (3rd) Thursday of every month
at 2:00 p.m. at the Township building, 100 Park Road. No meetings are
held in June, July or August.
2017 Officers include: Mr. Ryan Rohrer, Chairman; VACANT, Vice
Chairman; and Mrs. Angie Thompson-Lobb, Secretary/Treasurer.
The research committee is comprised of Mrs. Sue Lamborn, Mrs. Dottie
Freese, Mrs. Thompson-Lobb, Mrs. Bertha Kinnaird, Mr. Duane Economos,
and Mrs. Lois Horton.
Mrs. Kinnaird, Mrs. Lamborn and Mrs. Cynthia Neff take pictures of the

The Historical Commission gladly accepts information from all members of
the community. All meetings are open to the public and participation is
encouraged and welcomed!
